Today We Start the Recording Journey for True North: The Canadian Songbook

Toronto, ON

After two years of planning, I am excited that the day has finally arrived to bring these new arrangements to life in the studio. I am spending 6 days at Phase One Studios in Toronto along with Don Breithaupt, producer and pianist. Joining us are Mark Kelso on drums, Pat Kilbride on bass, and Justin Abedin on guitar. Lou Pomanti will join us on piano for a couple of tracks as well. So happy to be collaborating again with brilliant engineer, John Bailey and assistant engineer Milan Sarkadi. I am so honoured and pleased that my vocal coach, Lorraine Lawson, will be joining me this week to help with vocal production. Capturing the recording journey on film will be Olivier Picard from Parce Que Films and in photographs, Greg Locke. Even Amy T. Dog, President and CEO of Retriever Records, and Princess Audrey, will be attending a few recording sessions. Looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you.
